Abstract:

In this talk, we will introduce the key developments in AI technologies within Alibaba, including new speech recognition model that yielded the best recognition accuracy in benchmark datasets, a new framework of machine reading and comprehension that outperform the performance of human subjects in SQuAD dataset, and a new approach for model compression that fully leverages the architecture of FPGA and reduces the latency of P4 GPU by a factor 0f 170. Besides these core technology developments, we will also introduce a number of new products that harvested the latest developments in speech recognition, text2speech synthesis, visual object detection/recognition/tracking, question answering, and speech to speech translation.
