Policy Impact Evaluation Methods

ABSTRACT:

Policy impact has been an important research topic in the previous literature with various methods to identify the effects. Studies in IS have also adopted these methods to evaluate the effects of a policy or a treatment. Despite the basic methods of evaluating the policy impact, researches in recent years have introduced new ways to evaluate the effects of the policy. Different methods will be discussed with examples focusing on the models published in recent studies. The objective of the seminar will be introducing policy impact evaluation methods including how to evaluate the impact of a policy as well as what the best method is to use depending on the type of policy.
