The NUS School of Computing is organizing the Computer Science Research Week 2019 from January 7 to January 10.

The event brings together a number of renowned researchers in computer science from academia and industry, and includes a series of distinguished research talks. This year, the focus is on the algorithmic foundations of computer science. The speakers cover a wide range of topics, including coding theory, optimization and game theory, foundations of distributed computing, robustness and fairness in machine learning, algorithmic foundations of software engineering, data analysis, security and privacy, and low power hardware design.

The distinguished speakers are Lorenzo Alvisi (Cornell), Fahiem Bacchus (U of Toronto), Tom Ball (MSR Redmond), Lionel Briand (U of Luxembourg), Graham Cormode (U of Warwick), George Danezis (UCL), Ulfar Erlingsson (Google Research), Valerie King (U of Victoria), Kevin Leyton-Brown (UBC), Ankur Moitra (MIT), Yoram Moses (Technion), Amin Shokrollahi (EPFL), and Suresh Venkatasubramanian (U of Utah).
