ABSTRACT:

Today, many leading IT firms, e.g., Facebook, Google, Amazon and LinkedIn, use online controlled experiments to guide product development and accelerate innovation. Experimental methods, e.g., A/B test and multivariate test, transform decision making into a scientific, evidence-driven process-rather than an intuitive reaction. This seminar will provide foundational knowledge on how to design and analyze A/B tests to create business insights, and discuss challenges in conducting large scale A/B tests.
