ABSTRACT:

Industry reports estimate that around 80% of data in organizations are unstructured or semi-structured. The massive growth of unstructured data is amazing and has critical implications for data warehouse, business intelligence, data analytics architecture and database design. The current main driver in the upsurge of unstructured data is social media. This seminar will introduce a few approaches to analyze the sentiment of multimedia data (i.e., the most prevalent and engaging type of unstructured data on social media), and discuss important applications of these approaches.
