ABSTRACT:

In the past few years we have witnessed massive excitement in the industry about wearable health technology. Apple, Google, Samsung and many other technology companies are entering the expanding market of population health with the introduction of various wearable devices, including fitness trackers, smart watches, connected headsets, smart glasses, personal trackers, wrist bands, etc. In this teaching seminar, I will introduce some basic notions about wearable health device, as well as its market segments, new trends and challenges that we observed in the industry. I will also discuss about some potential opportunities for IS research in this field.

BIODATA:

Mr. Jiang Junhui is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Information Systems in the School of Computing at National University of Singapore (NUS). His research interests include IS change management, system evaluation & adoption, and healthcare IT/online community.
