Abstract:

There has been an explosion of data in the digital age. A recent IDC report stated that soon there will be "nearly as many digital bits as there are stars in the universe." The amount of data we create and copy every year, the report said, is doubling every two years and is likely to reach 44 zettabytes in 2020. What challenges does it pose to the existing technology infrastructure and what needs to be done now in order to enjoy the digital-life benefits in the future?

Data protection firms like Acronis are at the forefront of this race against time, developing technologies dealing with the increased data storage and data security demands. As a forward-thinking company, Acronis has setup an R&D centre in Singapore to develop local capabilities and build the next generation of software developers, scientists and data engineers who will power the data-driven economy in the future.

Do you have what it takes to take part in your country's future? Do you want to learn about how new technologies will change life as we know it and what you need to know to be prepared? Come find out more and back up to the future.
